My name is Faisa Farole. I have been working as a doula for 17 years. I love doing doula work. I am a Certified Professional Midwife with a license to practice in the state of Washington. I have a solo practice where I provide in home prenatal care and births at the client’s home or at a birth center. I love working with pregnant women and their families.

I am a mother of two boys and wife to a very humble and patient man. On my off days I love chilling with my family by baking and hiking with them.

Hello, my name is Zuleka Ali. I have currently graduated from University of Washington with the degree of Public Health. My ambition as a doula is to educate, support and empower mothers during their birth journey. My goals is to help parents help parents create positive memories of birth, regardless of the challenges that arise. I want to be part of the change for a better healthcare for the disadvantaged and contribute in whatever capacity I can.

My name is Sahra Malin. I was born in Sioux Falls, SD and moved to Seattle when I was 9 years old with my mom and two younger sisters. I have an ethnic Somali background. I am also a mother of two beautiful children, a boy named Husayn (after my father) and girl named Suhaylah. My husband calls me a “birth addict” because I am in love with everything about childbirth, from labor to tiny little humans. On my free time, I currently volunteer at UW|Harborview Medical Center like to take walks or read a book at coffee shops.

At first, I didn’t even know what a Doula was. This was until my friend told me that I should look into getting one for my first pregnancy. After experiencing what my Doula did for me at my daughter’s birth, I was inspired to do the same thing for other women who need support in their life. In February 2017 I completed my training through The Simkin Center at Bastyr in North Seattle with Sharon Muza and Kim James as my instructors. My long-term goal is to become a Certified Nurse Midwife in the future.

My name is Zeinab Farole and I’ve been a birth doula since 2011. I have been known to be a strong advocate for birthing moms and their families. Because I am a mother of two boys, I feel that I’m able to empathize and be more sensitive to the needs of the women that I serve on a more personal level. I am so passionate about supporting moms and empowering them to advocate for themselves, their bodies, and their babies. Along with my innumerable experience with working moms, I also have a bachelors degree in Sociology and a minor in Diversity. I also have a strong interest in medicine and hopes to one day become a physician.
